The International Cycling Federation (UCI) wants to hunt down allegedly used electric motors in the most important races with X-ray trucks. So far, special thermal cameras have been used in the search for the presumably installed mini drives in the wheel frames. In future, X-ray machines from Erhardt + Abt are to be used at the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France, the Vuelta a Espana and the five most important one-day races.
This was published by the UCI at its press conference on March 20, 208 on the fight against "technological fraud".
The HeiDetect ValuCT is celebrating its world-famous 3D computer tomograph at the HEITEC stand (Hall 6, number 6112) at Control 2017, the international trade fair for quality assurance in Stuttgart. The device delivers full-fledged 3D scans of small-volume components without the knowledge of the X-ray technique.

Erhardt+Abt has the know-how to achieve high throughput rates with an integrated industrial robot during in-line operation of mass production. Therefore, HeiDetect Wheel Robot is one of, or even the fastest x-ray inspection system for cast aluminium wheels on the market.
With the HeiDetect Wheel Robot, Erhardt+Abt has become established on the European market and thereby set new standards, not only for the X-ray inspection of cast aluminium wheels.
Through the cooperation with VJ Technologies, one of the world's leading suppliers of non-destructive workpiece testing with a network of offices around the world, these standards now get market access to the USA, Mexico, China and India.
This provides a competitive advantage not only for Erhardt+Abt. Both sides see large potential in a cost-effective production of systems combined with the product safety and quality of a high-end technology "Made in Germany".
We present this cooperation on the WCNDT 2016, the World Conference on Non-destructive Testing. The conference will be held from Monday, 13th of June to Friday, 17th of June 2016 in Munich. The partners will present themselves at the booth of VJ Technologies (FE 23).
