Revision of the system HeiDetect Wheel of Erhardt + Abt. The Wheel Inspection System is now also offered with an integrated industrial robots. The System will be offered as HeiDetect Wheel Robot. First orders of this new technique confirm the success on the market. Also with the new HeiDetect XS CT Erhardt + Abt offers a fully automatic X-ray System installation for workpieces with different sizes and weights.
Erhardt + Abt expands its office and production facilities to a total of 3,500 square metres. With a workforce of 50, systems with a length of up to 25 metres are assembled in the production halls. Among other things, the company also secures a major order in excess of 3.5 million Euro from the medical engineering sector. The order involves supplying 28 robots with associated peripherals to automate a plant in the USA operating under clean-room conditions.
Erhardt + Abt develops the SSR-steriproof, a 4-axis robot for use in isolator machines. Pharmaceutical products are filled inside the encapsulated isolator machines. The inside of the machine is fumigated with hydrogen peroxide, which means the robots must withstand extreme conditions.
Erhardt + Abt is awarded the Göppingen region's innovation prize in 2005 for the development of the world's first gas-tight robot.
The company re-locates to the neighbouring town of Kuchen. At its new premises, Erhardt + Abt now has a total area of 950 square metres at its disposal. With 13 employees, the company develops robotic systems particularly for handling applications in the automotive and pharmaceutical/medical technology industries.
Erhardt + Abt is awarded the Göppingen district's innovation prize for its development of a kinematic system for cleaning road gullies. Shortly afterwards, the company extends its offices and production hall by a further 300 square metres. The first robot cells and automation systems are produced.
Erhardt + Abt Automatisierungstechnik GmbH is founded by Stefan Erhardt and Christian Abt with its head office in Geislingen an der Steige in Germany.
